new to forum - need some help
Hi My name is Dave Metzner.
I make my living as new product manager for a plastic model kit company.
I'm here looking for a truck or two maybe even three to measure and photograph as the first step in developing a series of model kits.
I'm in the South Bend Indiana area and would like to find a couple trucks that are as nearly stock as possible to photograph and measure within reasonable driving distance.
My preference would be to find both a SWB and standard bed example. If possible I'd like to get one or both on a lift to shoot photos of the frame and chassis..
In the ideal world I'd like to find both 2 wheel and 4 wheel drive examples.
If you have a truck that I can photograph contact me via PM and we'll try to work out details.
Thank you

Could it be? could we finally have a bumpside model coming?!?!
I really wish i was closer, just so you could have measurements for a stepside if you ever decided to make it. I have a bare 2wd long bed frame (no suspension) I can take pictures of, If that helps you any.

Welcome from So Cal.
My suggestion is to do an F250 Camper Special, a Highboy (4x4) and a F100 shortbox (shortbed). An F350 dually would be nice to round-up the line.
Hmm, I forgot about the crew cab. They didn't make a lot of crew cabs back then, so the remaining crews are regarded as a prize.

Re: new to forum - need some help
If there is anyone in the area around Daytona Beach Florida with trucks we can photograph and measure - let me know as we have someone down there who can work out a way to get some pics of your vehicle..
We can use F-100, F-250 even F-350 for reference....
Drop me a PM if you can help...
Thanks,
Dave

Re: new to forum - need some help
Oh man, Dave I have a truck that is %100 factory, from the factory exhaust to the air cleaner to in original interior. Im on the central coast of California however but its as about as original and correct as your going to get. This would had have made your day....sorry about being out of your area
the only differance is bed length, mine is a long bed camper special but would have been easy enought to cut down some length in the bed for a model. If you want pics as reference I can always send some your way.

What you see is the way I found it!

So I now have something to throw money at.
