VIN Number Location

Post by GaryTol »

Hi Just Got a 1967 Ford F100 and have some doubts,

Where can I find the VIN???, (the metal tag on the door was lost),
the Stamped VIN number will be something like F10YXXXXXX (an
eleven Character number)????, found a number on the
rail bust does not look like a VIN C7DAGMXXX.

Can someone help me on this.

Regards

:wel: from Texas! :fr:

There should be a Vin# stamped into the top of the frame on the right side behind the spring perches and forward of the cab mounts.

Welcome from NC! As for the VIN it will be stamped on the top side of the passenger's side frame rail just like fireguy had mentioned. The other number you found was a part number (C7DAGMXXX). Once you find the VIN here's the link to decode it:http://www.fordification.com/tech/VIN67.htm Good luck with finding the VIN and see you in forums!
