72 Ranger XLT - just completed
Well, I'm sorta new to this forum so thought I'd try and post a few pictures of my truck that has just been restored. Still working on wheels/tires, but I'm mostly there.I just put the wheels/tires shown in the first photo on - but don't like them - going to go with some Ford wire wheelcovers and somewhat wide whitewalls (second photo) - should have them next week. Got new tonneau cover from Truxedo today so it will go on this weekend. LOVE THESE TRUCKS
Hope you guys/gals like it. Neat forum.
Phil
Just put these wheels/tires on - don't like them
Going to put these wheels/tires on except covers will have red centers (picture is photoshoped)
Also have original factory style covers
Little grill modification - expanded metal behind inserts - 72 grills need some help
Interior - just got Classic Auto Air ac/heat installed
360 V8

Wow nice truck. Would look good with some of the old mag style hub caps.

Thanks guys but I'm trying to get a little "different" look - sort of the "gentleman farmers" truck thing!! ha ha - going with wire wheel covers (got some NOS ones ordered with red centers) and a little wider whitewall.terry1167 wrote:I agree with Fo Mo Co.....sweet looking truck and would look good with the old mag hub caps. Re: 72 Ranger XLT - just completed
Thanks Terry. Glad you like some of my "stuff". Just got a Truxedo LoPro tonneau cover on the truck last nite. Looks really nice. Will have new wide whitewall tires and the wire wheel covers on at the end of this week - then I'm THRU with this truck.

Wow, Super nice cars. Both supremely well done.
Looking forward to the pics with the new wheels. That will be a big improvement.

Re: 72 Ranger XLT - just completed
I sure hope so Ford. I was really disappointed with the chrome mags - was hoping they would look right but they just don't do it for me. I'm too much of an "orignal look" nut. I think the wire covers with red centers and whitewall tires will set it off just right.FordJW wrote:Wow, Super nice cars. Both supremely well done.
