New guy with a 68

Post by 68RangerPete »

Hi guys,
Buddy of mine recommended this site, for some reason I did not know about it before.
Bought my 68 here in Kansas almost a year ago. Its a long bed 2 wheel Ranger.
Had a tired out 360/C6 which ran poorly. Since then I built the 360 to a 390 with a .514 lift cam, slightly ported heads, 4bbl intake, 650 Holley, and long tubes.
Also rebuilt the C6 as well. Ran into some trouble last December when I cracked the bell housing when mating the engine and tranny together. Need to check to see if my new 390 crank came from a manual tranny which would effect the line up for the torque converter.
Anyways I gutted the interior, patched a few small holes on the floor, and re upholstered the seat from scratch myself. Now in he process of laying down the new carpet.

Here's some pics of the truck when I first brought it home last March.
