Hi, I have a couple of questions about my tranny cover. The cover is broke where the pin ( 7B125 ) goes thru to the base of the shift lever, the part 7207 is not on the cover, is it a gasket or a steel washer? Does anyone know the dimensions of part 7B125? If I can find a new cover is replacing it an in-depth process? The top of the hole in the case is broke and missing, I don't know if it happened a couple of years ago when I had the clutch replaced but whatever the case I was able to find a large washer that basically does what 7207 looks like it is supposed to do, while it keeps the pin from popping out I would like to do a more permanent fix. The way it is now, the cover ( 7220 ) comes loose every so often and it allows oil to leak out and I hate oil leaks. I need a new pin ( 7B125 ) and washer ( 7207 ), can I fill the broken area with weld and drill it back out, or do I need a new cover?

Re: T-18 question
Part #7207 is just a thin paper gasket. Don't worry about it. Most of the time they get thrown away.
As for your other questions, I think this thread from Robroy will answer most of them for you: http://www.fordification.com/forum/view ... hilit=cane

Why is it that there's seldom time to fix it right the first time, but there's always time to fix it right the second time???
That's not an oil leak That's SWEAT from all that HORSEPOWER!!
