I know this is a stupid question, but what is the stock rim width on a 67 f100?

I am going to say 15"x7" or 15"x8" Not sure havent had many stock rims Someone will post your answer soon.

well I measured the tires width and they are like 10" or 8" wide section width, not tread. I will measure them again when I get the chance, but I needed to know because I wanted to know if I could use this one set of tires I was looking at. On second thought, I think I heard from someone that they bought wider rims that were 10" wide and the originals were 7" wide. I don't know though.

i had the stock rims off my 68 and they were stamped inside 15x5 1/2.

WHYYYYYYYY!!! I need at least 7.5 inches for these tires that I want. I have a great idea for the stock tires that will look cool too.

Ok if you have the tire it should say what size. Example mine on my truck are LT315-75-R16. My rims are 16"x8" My actual tire with is 15.5" I can actual change my rim to a 16"x10" and still use my LT315-75-R16'S. So if you have a tire that needs a 15"x7.5" rim I am pretty sure it can squeez to 15"x8" if you cant find that size. If you must need the 15"x7.5" rim for your applacation try a couple searches on google to see what comes up. Best of luck.

The one in General is a shadow topic (see the little icon) showing it was moved here, which come to think of it isn't right either, it should be in suspension (so there is going to be one here showing it was moved there in a minute). When you click on the shadow topic it brings you here, because there isn't really anything there.

As for the wheels, there were options, so it is difficult to say what size they are without measuring. They aren't 7.5 though...

Ok if you have the tire it should say what size. Example mine on my truck are LT315-75-R16. My rims are 16"x8" My actual tire with is 15.5" I can actual change my rim to a 16"x10" and still use my LT315-75-R16'S. So if you have a tire that needs a 15"x7.5" rim I am pretty sure it can squeez to 15"x8" if you cant find that size. The recommended minimum requirement for the tires that I want to get is 7.5 inches. Not saying I need rims that exact size. They should be between 7.5 and 9.5 inches wide rims for these tires. How do you know what your rim width is by looking at the tire? Never heard of that but I know you can find the rim diameter off of the tire. Oh wait, that's not what you meant, but I wonder if you somehow could. What I hate is how they will say the tire size is LT315-75-R16 and its in metric so I get confused. And then they throw a standard measurement in there for the rim width to throw you off. Is there a way I could get stockies but wider?

I was hoping that I could get wider stock wheels for a low price but if I'm going to spend the same amount of money then I will probably go with something like a modular wheel or maybe a smoothie style.
