Larger Diameter Wheels
I've been looking at new wheels for awhile now. Man are they expensive . I am currently running Eagle alloy 589's with 285 75 16. I was wondering if anyone is runing 17" or larger wheels on there rigs and if they would share some pics. Thanks
Doug

td-although your wheels look great (and what I didn't say) was that my trucks is 4x4. If I ever had a 2wd it would be like yours. Looks real good.
ezernut- yes I do.

Hey I had a set just like those one time! Actually I'd like to see a set of 17x8 or 9 on a highboy. I don't want any of the modern spoke stuff but getting tired of my eagle alloys.

I gotta ask...why larger diameter? 15, 16, 16.5 tire choices aren't cuttin' it?

Need min 16.5 to clear big disc rotors. Tire choices in 16.5 are getting fewer and fewer. Comparing 35" 16.5 to 35" 18's there will e less side height, which means less flex and better handling. Two of the reasons I considered bigger wheels

Re: Larger Diameter Wheels
I just thought it would be a little different. I like the 285-75-16's I'm running and there is nothing wrong with the wheels either. I just was kicking around getting new wheels and was wondering about a larger size like the newer trucks are running. I do not like the bead design of the 16.5 either.

What size tire are you going to run on the 18x10's?

Re: Larger Diameter Wheels
probably 37" toyo tires but have thought about the 35" but with the crew cab I think the 37" will look more proportional
