high oil pressure starting

high oil pressure starting
all of the sudden i got high oil pressure. does it mean the sender mounted on engine has gone bad. i dont see any bad leaks.

this happens when yo ufirst start it? if so does it go back down after it runs for a little bit?

check the wire, make sure it's not grounding out somewhere..
Try grounding the terminal. turn the key just to "on" position the gauge sould go all the way up.
otherwise, replace the sender.

yeah i unpluugeed the sender.. it went back down... does that mean the sender is bad ,,, or did i umplug someting thats telling me theirs a issue.

Your best bet is to install a mechanical gauge, or at least connect one temporarily.
You can tee into the same location where the O/P sending unit is located.
With a mechanical gauge, you know exactly what the pressure is.
An electric gauge just gives you an estimate.
