351W ID

Ok so i have a 69 f100 it was a straight 6 truck but when i got it had a small block in it i ran the block number for it and it came back as a 351W but im not convinced because the code said a 69 351w but all of the visual things say its a 302 is there any sure way to tell what it is? the code is C90E-6015-C

yes look at the thermostat housing. is the bottom botl below the water pump or above it? if it is below it it is a 302 if it is above it it is a 351w. the 351 c and ma both have a raised timing chain area that i same onto the block. and uses a funny looking fuel pump than the othet 351 and 302 engines. http://www.fordification.com/images/351 ... -pumps.gif http://www.fordification.com/engineID.htm
