new carburetor
I need to purchase a new carburetor. Can anyone help me find an inexpensive 2 barrel with a manual choke? What models can I even have on my 360 anyway?

Re: new carburetor
Autolite 2100 or 2150 came standard. I have a 2100 on my 360.

Re: new carburetor
I have the 2100 on my 390 and my 302. Never had any troubles and pretty easy to rebuild.

Why is it that the trucks are always the best running vehicles in the family?

Re: new carburetor
I would look at the Holley 500 cfm 2bbl. Any autolite you buy will be remanufactured and you might go through 3 before you get one that runs right. The Holleys are brand new and the one I got is the best thing I have done to my 390. They are like $280 from Jegs and are well worth it. A reman will be about the same if not more.

Re: new carburetor
every single parts store reman/rebuilt even from tomco Had one problem or another.
I had better luck grabbing a frozen up one off of a 390 mustang at missouri mustangs and rebuildng it and unsticking its throottle linkage in the process.
all the rebuilt ones seemed to either explode at start up, have a bad vacc leak on the inside or have to be kept at full throttle all the time like the idle circuits where crud.
