Post by hotrod ford »

is there any reason why a lincoln 460 can't be used in a bump?

What year is the Lincoln? I think the late 60's early 70's Lincoln 460's were the same as the Ford motors..but im not sure.

I would think by 77' all of the Lincoln/Ford differences would have been taken care of.

Im not sure, but regardless, I wouldnt think it would be that big of a deal to swap it in. Even if there was some differences.

Some of the other guys will chime in & let you know. I think AverageF250 & Heep70 know about the big blocks.

Im just a small block guy. :(

MEL series is the one they're talking about that won't work. 385 series (460) will bolt in.
