I know there are a few people on here from oklahoma i was wondering if anyone knows a place that does short block exchanges. i know there used to be a place in tulsa but dont know where or what there called i live in oklahoma city and would like to find a place around there but anywhere in the state works as i go up and down the state all the time,,, to turn in my 390 and get a 460 short block for a decent price?????

Precision engine rebuilders in Durant will do swaps. I havent done buisness with them in a long time tho. I used them for a chevy project 8 or 9 years ago & found the quality of my "new" motor wasnt far from the junker I traded them.

Like Sam said, ask around & find a good machine shop. Even if you have to drive 100+ miles.

We had a kick azz machine shop here in McAlester, Glenns machine shop, but the old man passed & the kids auctioned everything off. :(

There was one in Muskogee, but I cant remember the name of it. My buddy had them build a 383 stroker motor for his 4x4. It has been a great motor. Im taking my stuff to them from now on. I'll look for it & re-post if I find it.
