poss. head gasket probs.

Post by brents 67 »

I recently had my condenser go bad on my points sys. I have replaced the points and condenser. But my engine is still running rough(fe 390), I just noticed some white smoke while driving this morning and I'm thinking blown head gasket. Are there any tests I can do to comfirm this before I start pulling the intake and heads?

start the truck and remove the radiator cap. if the water is bubbling or has bubbles belch out of it then you have a problem. the water must get warmed up for this to work.

Pull the pugs and see if any of them are wet.
