WEIRD QUES ABOUT DRAIN PLUGS
ok i was reading on another forum that a guy had a 292 y block and were the drain plugs were at on each side for the collent he said he had to lines going to a tranny cooler is that possible to do and if so would you guys recomend it as a cooling source for the motor

he must have had a trany cooler that was water cooled instead of air cooled from the radiator. they are different types. you have to have the proper cooler to use the water jacket plugs for that setup. you cant run your lines directly to the block. the lines go to a cooler box moutned on the rear passenger side fo the tranny and the water lines come and go from that box to the engine plugs and to the lower radiator hose where there is a special fitting that fits between the radiator hose. i had some pics of the setup but i couldnt find them.

so can it be done using a tranny cooler as an engine cooler to run coolent lines to it

this one i have is a ford factory installed cooler. it has four ports. two for the water to go in and out and two for the trans lines to go in and out. i doubt you can find one like that. it would be easier and probably better to install a factory one in front of the radiator. here are the pics i found of it.
