have a core support but looks like its rusted all inside the area on top thats enclosed, anyone ever pull all those spot welds and sandblast, coat the inside of that... I think I might have to pull my support all apart to clean up unless I can find a place to dip it??? Also I notice I have (2) tall metal pieces (top to the bottom on the suppor where the radiator mounts) on my F350 with AC. Then looking at my 69 F250 no AC short bottom pieces and radiator mounts directly to the core support vrs the metal pieces connected to the support. Is this for the different radiator 4 core etc or just for the AC?

Re: core support??
thos piece can be removed from the core support to mount your radiator directly to the core support. the f350 support has the super cooling brackets on it to off set the radiator closer to the engine fan.

Re: core support??
will be using electric fans, so sounds like it doesnt matter then. Although looks like the radiator is set up for that (has AC condensor on it) or it will hit...

Re: core support??
yea the radiator probably has those two hole son the drivers side for the condensor bolts and clips to fit through. the condensors usually bolt to the outer core support in front of the radiator on a regular 2wd . i havent seen an f350 with a/c yet.

Re: core support??
The supercooling option is a 3 core, but it will outcool most any pickup 4 core out there. They are bigger than they look and hold a couple gallons more than the standard V8 3 core.
What Ford realized and most less than genius people out there do not, is that cooling efficiency goes way down the thicker you make a heat exchanger. The best way to add cooling capacity is to increase frontal area. That's why the supercool is 6" taller than the standard 3 core and it has much larger end tanks to hold more fluid capacity.
