Intake Manifold/Carb Upgrade

Hey guys,

I'm looking to finally replace the tired, gummed up, choke-less carburator on my 360 with one that lets my truck run correctly. I'd like to get a 4 barrel with vacuum secondaries and an electric choke; both Holley and Edelbrock make nice models in the 650-670 CFM range. I'd also like to replace the heavy stock manifold with something a little more efficient. I've seen the Edelbrock Performer 390 series manfolds, but what else is out there? There are parts-a-plenty for the small blocks and the 385-series engines, but very little for the FE. I'm beginning to think of FE as "forgotten engine" because there doesn't seem to be much available anymore. Anybody got suggestions?

What aftermarket intake manifold would YOU recommend for a 4 barrel carb?

I have a older Offenhauser dual plane that seems to have plenty of power through out my rpm range 1500-5000. If you buy used a used one be careful of corrosion around the thermostat, the dissimilar metal can cause problems.

i have the edelbrock performer seems to great with a holley carb

i have a factory FE 4 barrel intake with a holly 650cfm works great.
