Decided to make a build thread of my new project. Its a Canadian built '69 F250 Crew Cab 2wd, Factory 360,Power steering and brakes with a C6. I plan to make this my daily driver when finished. Plans are Long bed conversion, Fresh 390-C6, new paint, interior and a nice sound system also a few other goodies like LED lights and a power inverter to name a few. Im basically going to go all through it and freshen everything up.
It has a couple decent rust spots on it but nothing too severe, I was mostly worried about the floor pan from the back of the front doors, it turned out to have less rust than I thought. I do need to replace the inner fenderwells and core support but I should have a good set by next week.
Getting this thing home was quite a challenge, picked up a harbor freight tow bar for $47 and it wasnt the as good of a deal as I thought. After purchasing the truck and geting it connected to my F100. I started off down the highway towards home (90 miles one way) once I got into 2nd gear at about 20 mph the crew started steering the rear of my truck all over the road. It got so bad that it almost pushed me into oncoming traffic at 20 mph!! So here I am 90 miles away from home without any other way to tow this thing back and I notice the front right tire is low. Well since I was out in the middle of no where their wasnt a gas station for about 10 miles, I had to drive 10 mph for 10 miles and yes it took an hour to get there pretty much

Once I got the crew home safely I decided to check the alignment and sure enough the toe in was wayyyy off. It was toed out so bad that it wore the front tire's down a little which explains why it was swerving back and forth. If I would have known I would have just dropped it off at an alignment shop on the way home, but oh well its home now and I can finally start working on it!!
