I'd start with doing a good tune up and oil change... that's always the first thing I do when I buy a rig.
After that, I would do a brake inspection (or have one done at Les Schwab).
When I started my '68 CS project, I inspected everything and made list of things needing to be done,
Then I started collecting parts and tools to do each thing as needed...
The best game plan is to take care of the mechanical issues first, then move onto the body, then finish up with the interior.
You can be working on the mechanical issues, all the while collecting the parts or supplies to get the body cleaned up and ready for paint.. when you paint it, you'll probably want to strip the interior and paint it at the same time.
I have lots of '71 F250 parts (except body sheet metal) so if there are things you need, I might have them in my storage unit.
I'd make ya a good deal on anything I have that I'm not gonna use on my '68.

Right now, it is my work shop, eventually it will be an RV conversion.
I am in process of collecting the tools and stuff I need to work on it. It runs like a top, but needs to have the brakes gone thru before it can be driven very far...
It's not licensed, but every once in a while, I fire it up and drive it around a little before parking it again...
