Truck jerking

Just put in new points, cond, plugs, wires and reset timing. Problem is when I let off the throttle coming up on a stop sign or such, the truck goes to jerking like it's bogged down.

I know that's not the reason though. Out on the road it seems to run smooth and steady. Double checked gaps in points and plugs. Still good. Tried slight adjustments on timing and nothing seems to help. Any ideas ?

Carb going overrich on slowdown. Float level too high.

So, it's a single barrel carb and I know absolutely nothing about them except how to install. Got any instructions I could probably screw up ?

Any pics would extremely helpful also. Thanks. I've been just putting it in neutral and rolling to keep it from jerking.
