Re: 67 F-250 2wd frame up restoration
Got the truck down to bare frame. Got everything off except all the suspension and brake lines.
Cab coming off. It needs the most work, but I was glad to find out when I took all the glass out all the frame under the gaskets still look as good as from the factory!
The bare frame.
The sticker thats been on the truck since I have owned it. (it's for the anti logger hippies). BTW if anyone can get me some more of those stickers please contact me

Re: 67 F-250 2wd frame up restoration
Got the frame painted today with the help of my wife. Used por 15 and it went on nice. A lot of sweat equity went into the prep of the frame so I am glad that is done! Next goal is to get all the suspension painted and put back on so I can have a rolling chassis again. When it is all prepared I will move it outside and cover it for storage to free up room to work on the body in the garage.

Wow, You are moving along quickly. Did you use the cherry picker to lift your cab off?

Yup that is how I got the cab off with a little muscle help. For the time being that is all it is being used for is to move the cab.69twotone wrote:Wow, You are moving along quickly. Did you use the cherry picker to lift your cab off?

Re: 67 F-250 2wd frame up restoration updated!
Just an update. Have not been getting as much work done as I would like since the holidays keep me pretty busy with other stuff going on but I do work on it when I can. I had to abandon working on the chassis for a while. Waiting on machine work and getting other hard to get parts together to finish assembly. I started working on the cab in the mean time. Started putting in the new floor pans and cut out the kick panels since they where badly rusted. The floor pans are more work then I had hoped but just setting them in there and seeing how nice they look makes it worth while. Next I will work on getting the new cab corners put on and maybe the new cab mounts as soon as I figure out how to get those on correctly Not pictured I got the floor plans temp tac welded in, this weekend I will try to do all the finish work on getting them installed.
cab floors cut out and everything cleaned up
mice nest I found in P/S kick panel. It was by far more rusted then the D/S which had no nest. I did cut the D/S out also since the insides are both rusted a lot!

Re: 67 F-250 2wd frame up restoration *updated!*
Got the floor pans in finally. I do have a little touching up to do, I ran out of wire on the welder. Plus doing a little touch up grinding. Please don't make fun of my amature welding, what a pain it was to spot weld all the way around those pans!

Re: 67 F-250 2wd frame up restoration *updated!*
I don't have that much room, just a 2 car attatched garage. Just the cab and chassis is in the garage at the momement. The bed is in the back yard with the entire front end inside of it.
