Look under the radio, notice that there are no heater controls. Did some trucks actually come like this, or is this something that was done by someone later?

Good eye, Snooz. I've never seen a 67 like this, I think it's a custom job by somebody sometime in the last 38 years. It looks pretty good though, cleans up the dash alot....

'67 trucks with the basic heater package didn't have the three controls below the radio, but instead had a single control below the instrument panel. Trucks with the deluxe heater had the three controls you're familiar with. Here are a couple graphics whipped up by a forum user a while back:

Looking at the ebay pics, the heat/defrost control is that rod sticking out below the dash. That's why all our heater boxs have those embossed letters.
