What to use to flush an A/C system
Can you use denatured alcohol solvent to flush A/C system and is there a certain procedure to do it. I have freeze 12 in My A/C. My compressor is a york out of a 71 factory add on. THANKS I could really use some advise.
I've just run across this web site and I'm impressed with all the info you all have. I'm trying to get my fathers "72" f-250 back into shape I know it's hard to find steering wheels but does anyone know if a 72 torino will work.thanks carolina1g

re: need help with A/C
I'm not sure if that can be used or not on car systems, but I know that alcohol-based solvents are not approved for flushing residential A/C units. I'm going to give you a few links to spend some time at reading up on the procedures for flushing an auto A/C:
