Is it metal? Can you take it to a plating shop? That would be my avenue. You will need to disassemble it.

re: RESILVERING MIRROR
If you mean the glass, why not just have a new one cut? I think any good glass shop should do it. I have had lots of them cut for outside mirrors over the years.

A glass shop could cut regular glass to fit but i don't think it would be a day/night anymore would it? Mine has some black spots showing up as well but I thought that the mirror was different. Maybe not--willowbilly3 wrote:If you mean the glass, why not just have a new one cut? I think any good glass shop should do it. I have had lots of them cut for outside mirrors over the years.

re: RESILVERING MIRROR
You may be right. I never took a day/night mirror apart before. I just threw one away last night still attached to the old windshield. I am looking for a 67 day/night myself so I can run a 67 mirror in my 69.

re: RESILVERING MIRROR
Why not ship it to a place that does resilvering, the day/night function will still work fine. There used to be kits but I don't see them anymore, maybe because of the mercury. Whoever you use, ship them the bare mirror only.
