Did all 67's have armrests or was that an option? Of the pics I've seen most have arm rests but I've seen a couple that don't have any in the photo and don't appear to have mounting locations on the door panel (including Keith's). Am I just not seeing the mounting holes on panels that have had the arm rests removed or what?
Thanks
Mark

re: 67 arm rests
The standard cab trucks for '67 did not come with armrests, the Custom Cab and Rangers did.

No, just curious. Can the Standard cab trucks be easily retrofit for armrests by just drilling a couple holes or is there reinforcement and threads on the door panels of the Customs?FoMoCo wrote:Do you need 67 Arm rest?

The door has a couple of mounting surfaces for the arm rest. The bolts pass through the arm rest, through the door panel and attach to these mounts. Here's a photo of mine (67).

Jor,
In your door pic it looks like you have sound dampening material in there, if so what kind is it and how do you keep it dry?
Also how does it work, does it keep the doors from rattling like an empty tin can and sounding more like modern doors?

my 67 had an armrest on the drivers side only, not even holes on the passenger side
Recognition is the key to discovery

It's that stuff that has foil on one side and some kind of blanket-like composite on the other. I live in Arizona so it's not usually wet. When it does rain my window channel weatherstripping seems to do a pretty good job of keeping the rain out of the door.In your door pic it looks like you have sound dampening material in there, if so what kind is it and how do you keep it dry?

Hi, just talked to my son who is a mobile audio installer and the stuff they use for sound deadening is called Dynamat. It's a rubber based material that is WICKED sticky on one side. Although it is pretty expensive. He said it's about $100 for a two door kit. He also mentioned there are others out there that you would need a heat gun during the application something called "Brown Bread" personally I don't know about that but the Dynamat works real well, he's a thumper if you know what I mean and has put it all through his car and works very well. (2680 watts of banging going on in his ride) I know sounds crazy and it is, but damn does it sound unbelievable when you're sitting in it. Crystal clear and LOUD . I sure know when he's home though
