I started stripping the paint off my bed today and was suprised that there was one the original paint and 1 repaint. I love finding all the body filler on the tops of the bed sides though. I also found that many people have bolted a lot of different things to those bed rails. Will need to weld them all closed later. I am still not allowed to do much since my surgery but I do manage to sit in a chair with a sander. So far it is no where near as bad as I figured it would be. I am sure it will get worse when I reach the bottom of the bed. I will add a few pictures tomorrow if I get the chance to work on it. Just thought I would share. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t300 ... ink051.jpg[/url]
Starting my boy out early ( 5 years old)
Found nothing but very little surface rust and some bondo in a few dents so far.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~

Looks like some good progress. I can't wait till my boy gets up a little older so I can teach him. Nice looking bed so far.

Yeah it is great that I can get him to help some. My daughter used to like helping in the garage but now she is 8 and doesn't like to get dirty any more. But he really likes to get dirty (normal boy). When he is a little older I will get him to do a little harder stuff. I figure 5 might be a little young for engine removals and such. Although he did help me install my lift kit on my blazer. I enjoy letting him help as much as he can though. I gone 90% of the drivers side stripped and primed.
