Thank you Sir! I used heat shrinkable woven fabic tubing to cover the harnesses. It's a very good product that mimics the look and feel of high-end braided fabric covering, such as in certain tactical aircraft

Thanks for this as well... I am starting to do a complete rewire of my truck now and was trying to figure out what I was going to use. I like the look of yours, so I will be making a purchase of techflex as well.

Hey guys - doing some brake work while it's on the lift - I had to re-do some of my rear brake installation because I made an error and had the shoes installed wrong. Thankfully, another member noticed it and let me know - thank you Shawn!! Which is a good lesson for us all - just because we see a guy with fancy tools posting pretty pictures, don't assume he's doing it right! Also, I finally located the very hard to find NOS right-rear e-brake cable for a late '69. Why is it so hard to find? Who knows, but I have one, it's installed, and it fits! And finally, the left front caliper wasn't bleeding, so I hooked up my fluid extractor to it, and I think I've got it now! Should be ready to sit back down tonight and mock-up the rear bumper install, and finish the install of the Classic Instruments fuel sender. Small steps....so, so many small steps..

So I'm mocking up the rear "Sport" bumper install last night, and there's all this extra space between the bumper and truck. In the center where the bumper comes forward for the plate mount, the bumper sits about 1-3/8" from the bed cross beam. There are only two holes in my frame for these brackets, so I'll have to drill at least 2 holes. That seems weird. Doh! - I just realized I have bumper brackets for a 73-79, dammit ebay! Oh well - I think they'll still work?

So where I'm measuring 1-3/8" in the middle, what's that number on a stock truck with correct brackets? - Anyone?

I'm thinking I can move my brackets forward about 1" or so to take up some of the gap, and hug the bumper to the body. Anyone see any potential issues with that? I'd drill 4 holes instead of 2, but that's obviously not a concern. Thoughts?
