Word to the wise, If you decide to buy Spartan/ATK Reman heads, You had better plan to do a valve job on them!

Sorry I've been so long, but a LOT of things have happened since. Mama is doing well so far, and we'll be taking a look in a few weeks to find out if the Chemo is working. So far, so good!
Two days after the last post, The engine in the F-100 quit. I heard the familiar "Click" of the oil pump shaft twisting in two followed by the Oil pressure dropping to 0. Only being a mile or so from the house, I drove it- It didn't sound good when I parked it.......

Crunch- Time! I need a truck, and the 350 is too far from done, Soooo, I ordered new front-end bushings (all of them), Front Brake hoses, and tie-rod ends, and began Stripping the F-100.






The Cab is in decent shape, but has the usual floor issues. After Cleaning everything, and installing the front- end parts, I'm ready to make it go!

After cutting the floor to accommodate the NP-435, Assembly began.















Last week, We Lit it off, broke it in(With Open Headers), and had a visit from the Sheriff's dept! I love Big Blocks!

Looking good Hope the start-up went well for ya. I'm getting ready to do the break-in on my 69 and went and purchased some pipe and mufflers to connect to headers just so the neighbors don't call the law after me.

So, we got good news this last week! The Lung Doctor was impressed with her results, and scheduled her to bee seen again in 6 Months!!!!!!

Bluebeast has been running now for a few weeks, She drives like a new Truck! Thursday started out on a bad note; The Sloppy old NP-435 in my wrecker couldn't handle the strain any more, and wiped out the Counter Shaft. Soooooo, Thank god I own a Ford!!!!!!!




I Think she looks Good earning her keep!!

I'm sorry to hear the news about Mrs.Petewrench. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

A whole year has come and gone, and the post starts with the news that on May, 2nd 2016, Donna McQueen, My wife of 20 Years, lost her battle with cancer. Though I miss her so, I made the promise that I would move on, and enjoy life, and it's time to do so.

Since the F100 was the last of my toys that she enjoyed, I still have it, and I will enjoy it as long as I am able to. I'll be posting again as soon as I dig it out and start on it again.

Sorry for your loss Pete, that crap took my mother in '13, so I feel your pain. Glad you're back and at the effie again, she'd want you to pick up where you left off. Sincerest condolences.

This last weekend, I went out and opened the old girl up and decided to assess where i'm at, and where I need to be. opened the hood to check the fluids, oil's down a quart, no biggie, though the engine doesn't have but 1950 miles on it. opened the radiator cap, and found my quart of oil!

I pulled the Choke, Turned the key, and the Old girl fired right up! Brought it into the shop, and pulled the heads,-No evidence of a blown Head Gasket. I've heard of a problem with Core Shift on the D3 Block Castings, so I'm assuming that is the problem. I've been searching for a 360/390 block to transfer the internals into, with little luck.
I've got several 302's hanging around the shop, so I guess it's time to convert. the better gas mileage would allow me to drive it daily anyway!

Well, Head gaskets did not fix the oil problem! the beauty is, this site has someone who has been here, and there is a fix! I'm going to tear it down again, and see if I can find it......
