Did you apply it directly to the frame or did you use metal ready. That product just sounds like an etching primer.
I've done it both ways. I haven't really seen any issues with painting without the metal prep.
I'm finally back at it again. I had an accident involving my fingers and a table saw. I do still have all of my fingers so it wasn't as bad as it could be.
Now on to my update.
Powder coated and rebuilt the steering box and reinstalled it
Finished welding up the gazillion holes that the previous owner(s) had made.
Cool ramp. What if you made it so the two halfs could be easily pulled apart. And then put wheels under each one so you could tow them outside with the garden tractor when not in use.
I've got same lowering kit on my 68 SB. I believe it is A drop of 3" in front and 6 in the rear. I think it sits just right.
Love that ramp idea, so much easier than jacking a blocking!
