Yea, i couldnt find the type of wire you used in the instructions, so i had to use some cheap dollar store thin wire. the wires were so brittle that they kept braking and touching each other. it didnt hurt the radio at all so all is well.

Exactly what I did and why I did it....

UPDATE: followed these instructions several months ago and it still works without any issues.

I still haven't gotten around to pulling that 67 radio and giving it another shot. The 67 radio innards are a bit different than the others and it was a nightmare just to get to the location where the wires are supposed to be soldered. Prior to attempting the mod, the radio worked. Once I attempted it, no more sound.. It still lights up but the AM stopped working. No biggie as who listens to AM radio anyway...

Anyway, one of these days I will try again and see if it will work. If anyone else tries on a 67 radio, let me know how it turns out for you or if you had to do something differently.

I took my radio out of '72 Ford F350 and the circuit broad is different from the picture you posted. Anyone know where I am supposed to sodder?
