Yours looks like a regular long shaft with console shift. What does the tag read?

The 'hump' on the one on the right is centred, lines up with the mounting bolt hole. The other two are ofset. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me. It has happened before (at least once) :-)

That's what I said, I think. :hmm:

I'm not sure where the tag is, if there is one on it. Where would it be?

And for what it's worth, it was hooked up in an 81 with column shift. Might have been rigged though. My buddy took that apart and the speedo cable out when we were pulling it. I do plan on using a floor shift in the 68 though if I can find a good shifter that I like.

This is what I said, in other words the one on the right is different than the other two.
it will be the same as the other two.
And this is what you said. If I understand correctely you're saying they are all the same. Did I understand you correct?

The tag should be on the intermediate servo cover on the right side.

Ah, I get you now. You're right, we're not saying the same thing.

Below I've circled the holes I'm talking about in yellow. I think if this member was flipped around it'd match the others. In fact the only difference I see in the three is the small lip in the center, red arrows, but that's probably due to it being in camera center.

It doesn't matter any to me but the one on the right has a curve on both sides and the bump is right in the middle. The other two have a curve on one side and are straight on the other the hump is offset to one side. I'll leave it alone now.

PJD F7 is the trans model number- basically means it's a c6.

L1 - not sure, but think it has to do with it being for a Lincoln

D5 - Year (1975)
V - Product line code -Lincoln Continental
P - Engineering - automatic transmission

Couldn't find anything on the rest. Sorry.

Guys,
Sorry I didn't see this till now, the "work" thing is now kicking my butt!
I'm not sure if the mounts and crossmember are different between my '72 and say '73-'79 F-series 460, C6.
I remember Basketcase saying that the crossmembers are different.
Like Fordman said above they are different, here's my 79' dent vs. my 71' bump mounts again:
http://i240.photobucket.com/albums/ff13 ... C16062.jpg
There's a couple more pictures of the cross members in the above album. The tranny mount itself seemed like the "typical" (to me) C-6. I can't remember what my 4 speed looked like.
These guys can probably cypher the tag on it for you Tim:

Many Ford bumps / one 76' EB / and several dents through the years.
A lot of "oddball" Ford parts collected from working on them for 34 years now!
