But my buddies on a mission to get his uncle to sell me a running 390 powered parts truck, so I might need a week or two to be sure.

5/15/10

finished stripping the engine, preppeed and painted it ford copr blue, i was wanting to do red or the same color as the cab,but red remindes me of old chevy or dodge motors sono goand i couldnt find a tintable engine enamle that i could use. after much asking around and researching i decided on for corp blue made by kbs coatings (motor coater) ( man i am keeping those guys in buissness:) )

Today was dooms day for my 68 body, we started by cutting off the roof

and then the cab into two pieces

looks like a waste of a good body. just my :2cents: though.

also, how come the oil filter is facing down and not out? is that engine from a car?

Filter faces like that because it is from a 4x4 engine

i had the body for sale for well over six months i had four people come and look at it and only one offered me money, when the time cam that i needed it gone, he would not return any calls, i only wanted 100.00 for it, i had to get rid of it to make room for the new green donor truck( the deal i made with my wife one truck in one truck out, we live in a sub division with very little room to store things)

the filter faces down because it is a 4x4 motor, the oil pan sump is also in the rear.i like the down facing oil filter better, it makes it a ton easier not to spill oil all over when you change the oil!
