1980-1983 F-100 (not F-150) 9-inch rear end. It has 5 on 4.5" lug pattern and correct width for CV front end.

Spring perches will need to be moved inward.

Hackster, your build is phenomenal! I just read through it from beginning to end. This is as close as I can get to doing it because my skill set(s), or lack thereof, keeps me away from sharp tools, dangerous grinders, and electric current. It takes a lot of time and effort to maintain a build thread as you have done. You should take pride in the fact that it will live on and be read by many others and will bring them much joy. I knew nothing of this particular site. I ran across it while reading up on another F100 and came across this site as it was referenced by another.

Thanks for putting the time into this. I read it all today, and then joined up. I hope you have were able to track down the gremlins causing you frustration. If not, you will. Congrats on all you have accomplished and keep up the outstanding and inspirational work!

Did a bit of cleaning on the old truck this past week in some spare time. Still trying to figure out the tune thing but have been burried with house stuff the past several months.

Never really had any good photos of the truck out of the garage so I snapped a few of them. Truck looks good in my opinion. Dropped the front a little more.

Wow, she turned out great! I like the wheels and her stance, good job! I'm sure she runs as good as she looks too, enjoy.

Thank you for the compliments guys. Makes me keep working.

Did a ton of tuning with my buddy Ron sunday and actually was able to drive this thing for the first time for real. No issues, not shutting down and having to reset the computer at each stop.

I had a great day sunday with Ron and drove it to work yesterday. I was like a little kid, so excited all damn day.

Truck is awesome to be honest. It sounds amazing that big turbo just whails anywhere you go. Drives awesome as well.

If you are even thinking about doing the Crown Vic swap, just do it. It literally drives like a brand new pickup. I am thinking about building another one and keeping it less nice on the outside but making it just stupid fast. These old bumpside trucks are growing on me.

Hey Sean, I read through your full build on Lateral G forum, Awesome build! You talked about moving the CV suspension back to center the tire better. What distance are you thinking 1-2 inches or more or less. I have noticed these trucks have the wheels forward a little. I'm in the planning stages with a '68 F100 long bed that will end up a shorty when done and carbed 302 ( I know I know ! ). I thought about the 4.6 police motor but don't have the time or patience to do the wiring.

I have checked and double checked and the wheel is in the center of the wheel well with a tape and a plumb bob so my work is correct. But with the sweeping back arch on the wheelwell it gives the appearance that it is too far forward.

I would probably move it back 1/2" maybe 5/8" tops.

I have looked at lots of them, wheel is always to the front of the wheelwell like mine.

Thanks guys.

Got the truck out and on the town a fair bit yesterday. Probably racked up 60 or so miles yesterday. Had the bluetooth guages all hooked up and running on the truck.

Its the most I have driven the truck since the build. Was a good day. Truck did great no real issues other than the tires rub pretty good on driveway entrances with the tires turned.

Trying to figure out what to do for a stereo in this old girl now. Tips? What did you do in your bump?

No issues with rubbing on the fr500 wheels, but they were 17's and these are 20's, there is a big difference between the two. I am thinking that I might have to just run a couple different sets of wheels, cause I know I want a set of drag radials and skinnies for the strip. and Ill probably want a set of something else to maybe throw it through the auto cross or some more spirited driving =)

Yeah the 20's are a lot bigger, I test fitted the 285/35r 20 on a 10" forgeline off the front of my camaro and it's way too big, the 315 on 11" fit in the rear though. I was lookin at ordering a set like you had on there originally, i spent so much on the truck at first and suspension and brake mods i didnt really save enough for nice forged wheels, now that our dollar **** the bed  do you still have the fr500's? I'd be interested if you're looking to sell them,
