Yep, and since I got the whole assembly, I took pictures of where the combination valve and brake line brackets bolt on. I got everything off the frame section today after work. I got the I-beam bushings out by lighting them on fire until they got soft and then I just pushed them out with a screwdriver. Since the polyurethane replacements use the original outer shells, I saw no reason to press them out only to clean the rubber out and press them back in. Kingpins are next-never done them before-wish me luck. No glamour shots today-I was too greasy to use my camera.

Senior,

Lookin good. Are you going rat rod or are you going to another route? Can I have first dibs on the extra cluster you scored? I have been researching and found found these gauges made in the USA. http://www.speedhut.com/
These are pretty awesome! I have not done any reviews but, they are made in the USA and have a lifetime warranty, can't beat that!
Anyways, keep up the work, stay motivated and love wrenching!

I don't know if I would call it rat rod, but it will have flat black paint-what you see in the pictures is actually primer. I don't have a shop, so in an effort to keep my yard from looking any more like a junkyard-I am getting everything in primer and trying to keep the truck in as few pieces as I can. Once it's all primed-I'll take it apart, paint, and put it together. I'm building a 408w stroker for it that I will disguise as best I can by making it look like Henry would have built (see my valve covers and air cleaner for a peek). I guess I just decide what I like as I go.

Not familiar with the 408W. Is this built from 351?

Yes, it's a 351w bored .030 over with a 4 inch stroke. I'll back it up with an AOD, and keep my stock 3.70 gears.

Very similar to my plan, but instead of an OD I'm re-gearing to 3.54 and upping tire size a smidge. Oh, and not a 408W....a 408M....or is it 408C....or Boss 408 :nono: ....it's a 408M :D

Since I do all my work outside, the seemingly constant rain has kept the '67 safely under it's cover. Got a little window of sun, so I disassembled my calipers and soaked them in toilet cleaner until they were rust-free. Then I shot them with some paint I mixed until I liked the color. I'll use this color on various pieces to break up all the black.

The reason I'm selling the other intake is because I got this Victor Jr. It's had some port work done and is tapped for a nitrous fogger-which I will NOT be using.

No "glory" work to report, but I did realize that my brain isn't going to cut it as an organizational tool. For that reason, I started boxing, bagging, and marking all the smaller parts I have laying around. Tedious for sure, but not as tedious as trying to figure it all out upon reassembly.

There were actually 2 F600's in the yard with fenders. I can't remember the condition, but I can check when I get back over there. Shipping might be a killer, though!
