That "mickey mouse" throttle linkage was supposed to compensate for the engine torqing over
when you got on it. I don't like it too much. Years
ago I was laying on top of a 428 T-bird while it was
on a dyno. The throttle linkage jammed at "WOT"
and I had a wild experiance. I grabbed the coil wire
and yanked it off. Kinda exciting for a for a few sec's. If you got one of those things, take it off!
Make up a straight rod yourself. You can do it. It
is pretty easy, and safer too.

Safety is why they changed More than likely. They have been sacrificing performance for saftey. For a long long Time.
I have found since going back to Trapeze, that my response is perfect, i still have plenty O' Torque and HP. But now when i punch it or stand on it it shoots out just like a rocket but does not Pop or buck or sway.
Also I now know where they got the term "Stand On It!" Cuase now to kick up I have to Stand On The Throttle.
If building for race or Drag go straight, For Daily Driver or street Go Original Trapeze.
Or choose for yourself.

I don't want to give em a heart-attack. That is what would happen if I answered the door in the buff. Heck it almost scares me to death when I step out of the shower and look in the mirror.~Mancar1~
