Must be my lucky/quick fix day. Neighbor brought over a John Deere mower that was running funny, (was backfiring through the carb on a two cylinder). I took the valve cover off and found a push rod laying out, put it in and adjusted the valves on it and poof. Back to running like a champ, some days your the dog; some days your the hydrant. For a rainy day I didn't get wet, for once. Thanks for all the :help: folks.

I just replaced the rear seal on my tranny and I put a 3/4 impact gun on it to tighten the yoke nut. When I first bought the truck the nut was loose and there was some play in the splines allready. Sinse my truck shifts very hard I don't want it to work itself loose and wear the splines out even further.

So far so good, haven't heard the "squeak" sense I put the new bearing in. Although I've only been able to run with the windows down due to the weather just once on a 15 mile trip. Thanks for all the info and advice folks. :)
