This is what I had been wanting to do to a 521...

D9TE block
Longer cylinders then the earlier blocks. More favorable for long strokes. Bore 30 over.

Trick Flow Street/Strip Heads

Cam with around 240 duration at 050 lift. Should get power to peek around 5500 rpm.

800 cfm carb

9" rear with nodular center section, 31 spline shafts.

in the end, how deep are your pockets? There are blocks out there that will go over 600 ci. :woohoo:

429/460. These things are tooooough. Mine has been running for 9 years this month. All ive done to it in 9 years is change the oil and changed the plugs once. It doesnt have a lot of miles on it but the miles it does have are hard ones. My builder says its good for 7000 rpm but i put a 6000 chip in the MSD box just to be safe.

i guess its an AOD i guess i didnt hear him corect but i did ask him and im sure i heard him say c6

this is what the guy told me over the phone that is unless i miss understood him it will be custom built, bullet proof tranny, hear is the link he said it would be the only one to stand up to that power (that they had anyway) and it is a electronic so i would have to have a stand alone computer system for it...another 800 bucks

i like the idea of a windsor stroker. thats wat id like for my truck 351w with the biggest stroker kit i can get in it aluminum heads with either a centrifugal blower or the gas. maybe even a turbo would be cool if it was fuel injected

I would also suggest a Scat crank over a Eagle.

I would suggest racing something other than a truck if you want to go fast. Trucks have horrible weight transfer.

LOUIS) and i know i will have a rare comonity

I seen this thing run at our 1/8th mile track here in town saturday night. Not a Ford but it is fast. Its still got the stock trailing arms in the rear with a 9 inch ford with coil over shocks. It went 6.37 on the 1/8th. Has a 502 with lots of spray.

A JATO rocket should fit in the long bed and would take care of the weight issues.
