Damn it's been a while since I last posted. I took a vacation day and spent time with the truck. I got my fuel lines all made up, Ran the transmission lines, installed the starter, and made a list of stuff for my scavenge. I still haven't found a decent X or Y pipe that will bolt up to my shorty headers. I thought about ordering a 5.0 mustang offroad x pipe but I don't know if it will fit. http://www.holley.com/53605FLT.asp

I'm doing a 05' swap in a 69' f100. I noticed that you put your fuel tank where the spare tire is. You also mentioned the fuel tank was out of a E350, it also sounded like you took that out and used one out of a early mustang. Do you know if that would work for an 4.6 out of the 05' crown Vic. The fuel system for the 05' is pressurized and the tank sensors use the vacuum from the tank. I also have the smog lines that have to goto the tank.

I was looking at trying to figure out that part of it. The frame of the 05' is 39 3/4"~ and the truck is 34" to outside of the frame. So far I have the engine and trany in. It looks like I would have to box the frame in the rear. The pockets would have to be welded in at the top of the frame to give the bed enough clearance to bolt back into the original position. The linkage that is on it looks like it would need brackets made. I wanted to update to something newer. I didn't see anyone that had used that new of a set-up. I'm still doing the electrical on it. I've been doing it for about 3 months off and on. I do have pictures.

I wish that I would have went with the newer setup OBD2. I have all the EEC wiring installed except power and grounds. I'm adding in some things like cornering lamps, intermittant wipers, inverters and power locks. I ended up stripping off all the tape and separating the wiring into sub systems. All the fuses and relays are going under the hood.

Here is the truck.

Wolf0r wrote:I have the engine and trans installed. I decided to use the C-6 out of the box van, and the drive shaft (no cutting) from the 89 E350 van. Everything fit great but I had to separate the engine and trans to get the c-6 in. Mine had a c-4 so the floor hump wasn't as tall. I sold my spooled rear end and have another one I plan on building. I bought a new yoke already for the bigger u-joints. I am going with 3:73 and some sort of locker unit. Maybe from a Lincoln or a another truck.

I have some shorty mustang headers that I plan on using. Any suggestions on a H or X pipe? I need one with O2 sensor holes. I plan to run single inlet mufflers with dual outlets before the rear wheels like a Lightning, only both sides.
You can drill holes in you custom pipes and weld in nuts for your O2 sensors..Closer to the engine, the better, but keep them out of the fire. Donnie

If you are running EFI, you will need a fuel tank/pump that will correspond with the pressure required. Plus all the sensors..Coolant, MAP, O2, etc.....Do you have the harness? Computer & wiring..? Donnie

I have the ecu installed and all the engine is wired from the factory harness. I have all the fuselinks on the relay and all the B= and Ign wires sorted. I am building a fuse panel under the hood in a water tight box the ignition switch wiring will be ran there as well. I still have to run the fuel pump circuit to my pump (of a 1989 E350). I have the plumbing 90% done at the fuel tank and frame pump I may add an accumulator inline. I have a 1965 Mustang tank where the spare tire was. I even ran the factory Crown vicky headlamp harness on the radiator support. The extra hi-beam circuit is going to fog lamps and I will be installing cornering lamps in the lower part of the front fenders. The instruments will be all electric with LEDs for warning lamps off the factory engine to IP harness. Later will come HVAC and cruise control. Also a nice power bench seat from a 1987 vicky in great shape.
