Yea, I'm not expecting it to be complicated at all, but will be my first time ever trying. So figured I'd ask. thanks for the pics and the confidence!

Been looking at brakes and trying to decide between a vacuum booster and hydroboost. Looks like hydroboost is going to win, mostly because of clearance of the 460 valve covers. PSC has a diagram to show how to route hoses for the double ended ram and hydroboost, so at least I'll know how to route everything.

Also been in talks with a guy to buy a pair of supposedly running 460s and an additional 4x4 c6. I need to find a way to store all these engines and transmissions!

This may be a dumb question, but its not something I've ever come across...

When I plumb up my fuel lines, how to I run a fuel return line to the fuel cell without starving the carb of fuel? Return line pressure regulator?

I love my hydro bost it's able to lock up 37 without thinking about it. Who are you thinking of going with for the pump? Just run a fuel pressure regulator with a return.

Steering pump is a PSC. Fuel pump, I'm not sure about yet. Possibly an Aeromotive.

Purchased 2 more 460s. One from a 1970, and one from a 1977. Supposedly both came from running vehicles. If not, I'll bite the bullet and get one rebuilt. The 1970 460 was rated at 365hp/510tq. Should be more than enough power, even if its a little tired now. Will be dropping my aluminum intake on it. And unless I find a hell of a deal on something used, a rebuild of my factory 650cfm Holley carb in is the plans as well.

what's the 70 460 out of? I've got a 68 429 out of a t-bird in mine and it will light up my 37s if i want to and that's with 4.11s so they do make some good torque. Keep the updates coming.

Honestly don't know. Not even 100% its a 460 yet. I do know its a D0VE headed 385-series engine. So could end up being a 429

Purchased a 770CFM holley truck avenger carb. Should work great until I figure out my fuel injection setup later on.

if its out of a ford then it's probably a 429 if it out of a lincoln then it probably a 460 but the numbers on the crank will tell ya.

Guy I bought it from said when we pulled it, he was wspecting a 429, and it ended up being a 460. Honestly I don't care either way. I mainly wanted the D0VE heads. When I do rebuild the engine, it'll possibly get a stroker crank anyhow.
