ok how do you stop the 2 wheel drive trucks from wandering so much? this 72 F100 is a bear to drive, wanders all over the place.at 6omph it is a scary ride.i know the steering box needs a little adjustment to get rid of a little of the on center dead feel.i have to reseal it anyways cause of leaks.i am an auto technician by trade but i am not used to this old of a truck.but it wanders and the tires are new and average size P237/75R15.
any ideas to combat this?the suspension it tight.

New radius arm and axle bushings really tightened my front end up.

You might also want to check the rag joint, which connects the steering column to the steering box. If it's worn or torn, it'll produce those symptoms as well.

Also might be simple as king pins not taking grease, lift till weight is off front wheels, wack top and bottom of spindles front and back on both sides of truck ,very important to grease with weight off front wheels this time, you dont have to do it this way every time but getting weight off the king pins and greasing once or twice a year make big differnce
