1967 F350 flatbed dually

Can anyone give me an idea what this beast is worth???

It has 52,000 original miles on it. NO RUST at all. It comes with 2 sets of gates. The motor is 352 V-8 with a manual 4 spd. It needs paint and a couple of very minor dings fixed. It has manual steering and brakes also.

Any comments at all would be appreciated.

Without pictures it's hard to tell... Pick up a "Steals n Deals" or "Autotrader" and see what the market is for our year model truck. I have found the prices vary by geographic region.

Dont see many of them in the paper, but i guess 1,000 is not too bad of a price for the beast. The guy im buying it from, his father bought it new.

Any heads up I should be concerned with about this beast????

Manual steering and manual brakes suck.. upgrade ;) 8)

I'm with ya on that one :evil:
Don't mind the steering, I drove mostly manual steering semi's but good binders are nice to have :)

Not too many worries with these rigs, if something's broke it's usually fairly easy and inexpensive to fix. And lot's of info and helpful people here to help you along.
Main thing is that you're happy with whatever price you're going to pay for it.

Ah the simpler times like points & condenser eh? :lol:
I guess im just taken with the fact that its ALL original and all in good shape.
It should be a fun progect to play around with, plus I could use it around the farm :)

I would say a good range would be 1K - 2.5K that's assuming its in REALLY good condition.. again hard to tell without pictures... Check the drip rails, cab mounts, cab corners, floor pans real well.

Keith can attest to this, take a magnet with you to do a bondo check.

the only thing that creeps me out is the split ring rims. I would like to upgrade to tubless radails and know the rims will have to go. And that could get costly from what i've seen for sale....

Your right, there ain't many of us.
But thats kinda the charm to the old girl. Just got done sealin up the gas tank (lotsa rust inside ) the outside of it looks good though. Got a steel bed (8x10) with a headache rack for 120.00. Needs some work but for the price I got alot of metal.

Will try to get some pics out soon.

What its worth depends one who wants it and how bad.

Now with that said a one tonne is normally worth a bit more than a 1/2 tonne but if it gets to old some get scared away so you can get some real deals.

normally if it runs and stops your looking at around $1000
if the body is good not the paint the tin your around $2000(running)
if its got a steel deck add around $500 ta $1000 on top
and if its got a hydraulic dump and $750 to $1500 to that.

now if its mint I have seen them go for $12000 plus but I would never pay that.

also remember you will have drum brakes all around and on that one tonne that just is scary trust me. you over load that thing good luck stopping it.
also in a parking lot you will find with out power steering your arms will be burning and people will even laugh at you and point :eek: I hope its a short wheel base. also on the manual steering trucks at slow speeds the rag joint has a tendency to snap so if you force the wheel in a turn you can smash the hell out of your arms and hands. :shh:

:2cents: People's fears of drum brakes are exaggerated. Once again I point out that semi trucks today are still running drum brakes. If they're good enough to stop 80,000lbs then they're good enough to stop a one ton. One tons have very large drums and brakes so obviously they have more braking power than a 1/2 ton. The only time drums really create a problem is if you get water in them.
