NP205 bearing numbers?
Anybody have a list of all the MRC, timken and torrington bearing numbers for a divorced 205 case? I get smokin deals on bearings and don't wanna pay a fortune for a quality rebuild kit. Thanks.

re: NP205 bearing numbers?
You will probably have to find a site that deals with New Process cases to get the bearing. Ther are a few folks here that do have some info on Ford numbers, but not sure about that.

Re: NP205 bearing numbers?
It is in your best interest to buy a complete kit from a reputable source. I discovered you cannot beat the prices on bearing kits that transmission parts houses have.
NatPro is in CA, check them out. They treated us right with fair pricing and quality partts until we got big enough for the big Portland dealers to take us seriously.
NP205 O/H kit should be around $110.

Re: NP205 bearing numbers?
Dustin first thank for the help. Second do you know what brand of bearings are in the kit they sell? I've seen kits with foreign bearing for around 160 and with Timken bearings for as much as 440. Again thanks

Re: NP205 bearing numbers?
Most bearings are made outside the US today, Most of what Timken produces included.
NSK, Timken, Koyo and others are all fine products. If there isn't a name on the bearings then you have a problem. I haven't purchased a bearing kit from a big name seller and had anything less than quality bearings.
Where the kit sellers usually cut corners is in the quality of the seals, gaskets, clips and what small parts are included in the kits.
Natpro's stuff has always been the better end of complete. They include small parts most others don't. Np205 kits don't often include the small 5/16" cup plugs that seal the access holes for the shift fork roll pins. The cup plugs can be re-used if you're careful removing them, but better solution is to drill the holes 11/32 and tap for 1/8" NPT. Install a couple plated 1/8" pipe plugs in there and you'll need to worry about the little cup plugs again.
