That said, I saw a heartbreaking story online today out of OK (posted about 5 days ago) and just HAD to share it with this community. I could not believe my ears when I heard that a man had paid over $115k to have a 1967 F100 restored for his son, only to be completely scammed by the resto company. The level of gaslighting and unethical treatment that was done to this man and his son is just mind-blowing.

As someone who put a TON of time into my '67, I know it's harder than people think. Even many who have 68-72's sometimes don't realize how 'one off' the '67 was in terms of everything from the engine to the parts -- a hodge-podge hybrid that was jammed somewhere between the '66 technology and the 1968 transportation rulings on safety that changed so many things. I had to have my FMX transmission rebuilt and was lucky the shop was able to find some 70 year retired old guy 15+ years ago that still remembered how to do it!

I don't know if any of y'all here are from Oklahoma, but if you are, you might extend an olive branch to this kid. I guess the dad can afford it, but what an incredible disappointment.
That's all from me for now!! If any of you old timers from 15 years ago are still out there, I hope the good Lord has smiled on you and your trucks, and the road has been kind.
Mike
