Scat Crank upgrade on 390
I'm new to the forum. Does any one have the recipe handy for adding the Scat Crank to a 390 block and all the appropriate rod/piston gear necessary for max cubes and durability? Pretty much sold on Harland Sharp rockers and Comp cam with the Edelbrock Torker. Could use advice on the lower build from someone whos done it. Ive read a lot of forum posts, Youtube Vids and there seems to be a lot of argument on max stroke and its risks. It seems quite volatile of an issue. The 390 im working with is a sound 60K engine but Ive always wanted a 428 CJ level power. Thanks

Re: Scat Crank upgrade on 390
Scat makes 3 cranks for an FE last i heard.
3.98, 4.25, 4.35.
4.25 is most readily available and yields 445 cubes in a .030 390 block.
Unless you're making serious power the base cast crank and I beam rod will be fine, i got h beams for basically free. see my project thread later pages (like P16 or so).
Strongly advise talking to Brent Lykins and checking out his You Tube. (Lykins Motorsports) He can probably better your cam choice too.
