I purchased an aftermarket three point seatbelt kit a couple of years ago and could use some help. I do not remember the brand of the seatbelts, but I I purchased them from either NPD or LMC. The issue is that I have a newer model seat in my truck. I believe that it is from a '95 f150. The seat sits lower than the factory seat and now the seatbelts are about four inches too long on the buckle side. They are long enough that when you buckle the seatbelt the latch is in line with my navel. I have a son that is learning to drive and the shoulder belt does absolutely nothing.
Should I look for a buckle from a newer model truck? Or, take the buckles to a shop and have them shortened four or five inches? If any of you guys have had this issue, I would appreciate it if you would share how you fixed the length issue.

Re: After market seat belt length
I would take it first to the shop and see if they can do some adjustments.
