Thoughts on LMC bucket seats
Anyone using LMC bucket seats in their bump? My bench seat is pretty worn out, so I've been thinking its LMC buckets and mounting brackets vs reupholstering the bench. I'm leaning toward buckets right now. How is the LMC buckets fit and quality? Do they sit too high, too low or just right? Anyone's general thoughts appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Thoughts on LMC bucket seats
My '67 had buckets, but a previous owner put a bench in, I will switch it back someday.
The factory buckets were Mustang seats, they have a very thin back, anything with a thicker back will push the seat foreword, and a Bumpside has tight leg room to begin with, A higher back will do the same. This Forum has a PDF available, to make your own brackets, if your fabrication skills allow it, you may be able to tweak it for higher or lower seats, however the tank and back window will not allow it to be set back much.

So, did you get an LMC seat? This '67 project needs a new driver's seat, tool box, and headache racks to haul his stuff.

Re: Thoughts on LMC bucket seats
I ended up buying the LMC seats. LMC sent the wrong seats 2 times, this was extremely frustrating and tempered my enthusiasm for the project quite a bit. One month later and 3 tries and they finally sent the correct seats.
Removal of the old bench and install of the new brackets, sliders and seats was pretty straight forward. The new seats are VERY firm, they definitely sit higher than my worn bench seat. I think they look really good. The only negative is the in-cab fuel tank prevents the seats from reclining all the way. I'm 5'11" so not a big deal to me, however, could be a big deal if you're a tall guy. New seat belts just arrived so I will put those in this week.

Don't know what your plan is for the tank, removing it won't help much. The factory bucket option included a carpet to cover it, with a (very hard to find) stainless steel trim at the top.
The seats look like a good fit.

very cool,
Any indication of the actual maker, do you think they are re-branded or - un-branded TMI?

Wow what a clean truck. Seats look great hope you like them, and the steering wheel looks right.

I have no idea who actually makes them, no markings or stamps or any other indicators of brand. I never looked closely at the TMI seats because they were too pricey for me.
