Thanks for taking the time to post. It takes a lot of work to keep the updates going. I understand why so many other project updates just stop. It makes it worth the effort if I know others are following along. I just finished the fuel tank and the in tank fuel pump installation. I am currently bending and installing the fuel lines, which is taking forever. When that's done I will make another post. I have also installed the brake lines and combo valve. I haven't shown that because I am not happy with the way it turned out. I may go back and do it over in stainless. You may have noticed I like to do things twice!!

Yes. It is more durable than liquid paint and less hazardous. I used to do powder coating as a side business at home. I use an Eastwood Pro gun that they no longer sell. Its too bad because it works so much better then the hotcoat gun that they have always sold. But you can get decent results with it. I don't have any experience with the new system they have.

Go for it. It takes a little to get started but is very rewarding. You can also make a little money from your buddies once you get good at it. You will need a blast cabinet and used household oven (dedicated) in addition to the hotcoat gun and a supply of powders. Harbor Freight sells a coating gun that is cheap if you want to dip your toe in the water. Hit me up if you have any questions.

Since the new engine will be fuel injected I will be installing an in tank pump. I did not want to use an external pump.

Well I seem to have lost the next series of pics showing the pump install, the line bending, fittings etc. Maybe I will find where I misfiled them and insert them later. I will just have to skip to the finished photos.

Bending and installing the lines has been the most frustrating time consuming part of this project so far. It also turned out to be the most satisfying. I really got bogged down in this. Working with stainless steel is very difficult. It's expensive, and tough to bend. Once its bent you can not straighten it back out if you make a mistake. Also you can't use the normal lightweight tubing benders. I tried to use the kind that you can bend 3 different sizes of tubing. It put a dent in the tubing at the hold point every time I used it. I had to buy better one that only does 3/8. It was expensive but necessary. Between the crappy bender and mistakes I ended up ruining the first line I made, about 12 feet ($$$$). After that I bought a roll of cheap steel 3/8 line from Amazon and used it to figure out my routing, angles and measurements.
