You are making some great progress. I may be able to offer some insight on those two holes in the firewall. They are for a dealer added a/c. The large hole is for the low pressure hose and the smaller is the high pressure hose. The need to be large so the fittings will fit through the firewall to connect to the evaporator hanging from the dash. It would have had grommets to protect the hoses and some dum dum to seal the hole. I am aware of this because my truck has the same thing and was untouched before I tore it down. You can probably see what I am talking about if you look back at my project update. Your doing nice work.

After a busy couple of weeks, I was finally able to spend some time in the garage.
Started stripping paint in the cab with flap discs, so I can paint the floors, and firewall, black.

Also painted the rear shocks.

I also got some small holes in the rad support welded up. I had started working on it months ago, and started concentrating on the rest of the truck, and forgot about it! So now I am going to finish it.

It's real easy to get side tracked.... take your time, document what's been done and needs to be done Your doing a bang up job though

I have still been making slow progress, but I guess any progress is good progress!
Got some small block engine-perches. Started cleaning them up and it made a huge difference!

The face is actually all chrome, that was just painted over black. I don't know if I should leave it chrome, or paint it how it was originally?
