OK, picked up this engine, non-roller, but had the mpfi. I have gone through the engine, replaced rings and bearings. Picked up a set of GT40p heads. Got em machined for the 1/2 head bolts and put them on.
Right now setting valve lash using this method, have not really set valve lash before

So I have gone 2 1/4 turns and already have a push rod that still spins real easy and the nut is really really tight.
Using the stock valve train. I picked up a set of rocker arm shims, 4 thickness or should I look at longer push rods, right now, stock ones are 8.25" long
thanks for any help

Those heads should have bolt on rockers unless they have been converted. What have you changed to make them adjustable?
