Seriously thought...the only places mine has leaked is the valve covers on the rear side of the engine and my rear main may be leaking just a little.....other than that nothing else in 4000 miles........

I'm a small block guy but rear of intake has always been my worst nightmare. Also had problems with oil pan every I've tried to replace gaskets while still in the truck. If I'm doing it I'll pull the engine, put it on the stand, flip it upside down and do it, the rear main and the timing cover all at once. No better time to inspect/replace the timing chain, water pump and thermostat while I'm at it. Heck, at that point, I usually wind up resealing the whole engine and check/replace freeze plugs. You'll be glad you did.

Ends of the intake and rear main seal can be tough to seal if the engine has been apart. Valve covers can leak just from age.

On an FE I agree on the ends of the intake and especially the rear main. Have to get those side seals right and sealed at both ends. When apart, in critical seal areas I use "The Right Stuff". It ain't cheap but it is easily head and shoulders above other RTV sealants. I use a dab at the intake/head mating spot where the valve cover seals too, another area prone to "trickle" leaks. How bad is the leak, is it a nuisance or something that's got you pouring in a quart every 100 miles?
