It took me a long time to post that photo...there has to be an easy way? It wasn't as hard as harvesting and loading all that firewood, but pretty close Anyway...that's "Alice" a '68 on a "73 frame. I did the conversion, sold it to a buddy, it sat for a few years and I bought it back! My two boys are pretty stoked we got the old truck back.

Ironically yes.
Truck belonged to a buddy of mine's dad. He was the second owner of the truck ( i am the third ) he told me the truck came from up in northern Cali were it had a snow plow fitted to it. He bought the truck in 1977-78. He used it for camping with a cabover camper and towing his commercial fishing boat to and from the harbor. I ended up being real good friends with my buddies dad, he was a retired fire captain locally here in town and his last station before he retired was on the same road I lived on when I was younger, and I used to walk by the firehouse on my way to and from the school bus stop and see this truck parked in the fire stations parking lot years before I met him. Thought it was so cool, it was much more red and pretty 23 years ago. . Well anyway, I had tried to buy this truck from my buddies dad several times, but he just couldn't let go if it. best position I got was " well if I sell it you get first chance at it" so I settled for that. The dad had passed away four years ago and my buddy from high school put the truck in storage ( he wanted to keep it, it was sentimental for him, which I totally understand) but then right before thanksgiving he called me and said I needed to come take the red truck, he felt bad it was just sitting and deteriorating and since he wasn't very mechanically inclined and felt very overwhelmed by the attention the truck needed, so we came to a quick deal ( he was overly generous ) and he said he was glad I was finally getting the truck so something could happen with it. I am working on getting old pictures of the truck from my buddies mom.

Nice addition, glad you got it! I like the tall skinnies on the truck I did the same thing to mine recently.
